The days of washable rugs being purely practical are over. We certainly can’t go so far as to say that all washable rugs are stylish, but more and more brands and designers are coming out with carpets that you’d truly never guess could be washed in a machine.

Earlier this month, Gwyneth Paltrow‘s brand Goop partnered with Ruggable on a 16-piece collection of machine washable rugs crafted from spill-proof materials. Before that, celebrity interior designer Joanna Gaines worked with Loloi on a line that, you guessed it, includes 13 machine washable rugs. And with how kid-friendly, pet-friendly and, quite frankly, human-friendly these home accessories are, we have a good feeling there will be plenty more keepers to come.

From faux sheepskin pelts to handwoven, vintage-inspired statement pieces, we rounded up the crème de la crème of washable rugs from a few of our favorite retailers and collections.

The 10 Best Machine Washable Rugs

Nuloom Washable Rugs

With over 400 washable rugs at Target alone, Nuloom is an easy go-to for affordable finds for your bedroom, living room, nursery or dining area. The options range across all decor styles, so if you aren’t quite sure the direction you’re going in, Nuloom is a great place to start.

Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines x Loloi

Joanna Gaines of Magnolia Home is quite literally the star of modern farmhouse design, and her collection with Loloi is the perfect embodiment of the designer’s warm and approachable style. Not all of the rugs in the collection are machine washable but these 13 are.

Ruggable x Goop

Ruggable is no stranger to a collab, and its most recent partnership with Goop is a neutral-lover’s dream. Be sure to check out its full roster of collaborations with celebrity designers, brands and franchises like Jonathan Adler, The Hiltons, Justina Blakeney, Barbie, Bridgerton and Pantone. Plus, you can read our first-hand Ruggable review here.

is a brand specifically known for its ecological washable cotton and wool rugs. There are a variety of options across all decor styles, but the brand’s standouts are its hand-crafted, vintage-inspired . Urban outfitters also has a great selection of designs by Lorena Canals.
