Ashley Park has a date with Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles.
The Emily in Paris star will be honored with an alumni leadership award at the Masquerade Wish Gala at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City on Oct. 19. Anthony Anderson is also on board to host the Masquerade Wish Gala, which will also feature a special appearance by Julianne Hough. Park will be joined at the program by fellow honorees Kendra Scott with a philanthropic leader award and Kev Zoryan with a power of a wish trophy.
“When I was 15, I was diagnosed with Leukemia and, after many long months of going through treatment and being isolated in the hospital, my wish took my whole family to New York to see a Broadway show. After many months apart, it brought my family joy to experience this wish together,” said the multi-hyphenate entertainer Park. “When children and their families are dealing with unplanned hospital stays and uncomfortable treatments, a wish can give children a chance to reclaim a piece of their childhood and a sense of control. This wish changed the course of my life.”
Scott serves as founder and chief creative officer of her namesake lifestyle brand, while Zoryan recently retired as managing director and head of U.S. asset management for Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing and is a founding member of the real estate cabinet at Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles. “Ashley, Kendra and Kev are remarkable individuals whose dedication, passion and contributions have enriched the lives of many,” said Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles’ gala co-chair and board member Viviane Krief Woodcock. “Their support and commitment enable us to continue granting life-changing wishes that provide hope, strength and joy to local children battling critical illnesses.”
Since its inception in 1983, Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles has granted more than 10,000 wishes. The upcoming gala serves as a platform to honor those who have contributed significantly to this cause, and funds raised from the event will directly benefit wish-granting efforts in the area.
