‘Loki’ Actor Jack Veal Says He’s Homeless at 17

Jack Veal, a 17-year-old actor who appeared in season one of Loki, took to TikTok to share that he’s currently homeless.

The actor, who played Kid Loki in the Tom Hiddleston-led Marvel show, posted a series of videos on the social platform in recent days, noting that he’s in search of housing accommodations near London.

“Hi. I’m a famous actor, I’m 17 and I’m homeless,” he said in a clip posted on Sunday. “You may know me from Loki, The End of the F***ing World, or various other movies where I played important roles. I haven’t mentioned much about what’s been going on in my life, but I think it’s time to reveal the truth. Without delving too much into the details, I was abused at home. It was physical violence, emotional abuse and etcetera.”

Veal, who has also had roles in The Peripheral, Tin Star, Come Away, The Corrupted, Call the Midwife and My Name Is Lenny, explained in the video that he can’t stay at his grandparents due to his grandfather being “terminally unwell.”

“I have nowhere else to go, and I need help,” he continued. “Social services refuse to help me, despite what I have told them. I am desperate. I’ve been sleeping in the streets. I am currently sleeping in a trailer that has smashed-in windows, is unsafe and is two hours away from my work, which means I struggle to get to work every day. It’s difficult. Life is hard. At the moment, I have nothing else. I am on my knees begging for you guys to share this, do something, spread the message with how the government are treating kids.”

After the initial video went viral, earning 200,000-plus views, Veal posted several follow-up videos expressing his appreciation for all the support he had received. On Tuesday, he also shared that social services reached out to him about setting up a meeting to potentially help with accommodations and place him in foster care.

“I don’t know what you guys have done, but it’s gotten out there and it’s really, really helped me. They’re taking action now. They’re actually doing something,” he said in the clip. “God bless you all. Thank you so much.”

Veal added that he would post an update on how the meeting goes in the coming days.
